A rich mouthful of red berry flavour complemented by savoury and forest
floor notes and hints of lavender. Medium-bodied only but with a unique fragrance and a lingering dark fruit flavour that invites immediate drinking.

Cabernet Franc grapes are better known in the Loire Valley or the Pomerol area in the Bordeaux region of France, where they are most often blended with other red varieties. The Blue Pyrenees winemakers saw the beauty and elegance of this variety and decided to keep some of it separate from the regular blending program, where it is known to add a lifted floral perfume. The wine was fermented for 1 week on skins in an open fermenter and pressed close to dryness before settling and racking to 2 and 4 year old French oak barriques for secondary fermentation and maturation.
