Eyes & Nose
A vibrant & deep purple black. Lifted and bright, ripe blackberry, blood plum and violets, burst from the glass and are accompanied by savoury black olive and freshly cracked black pepper spice.

Mouth
In the mouth, the entry is soft and generous, with the same ripe dark fruit and black spices filling the mouth. Supple and velvety tannins and a light dusting of toasty enhance the fruit notes, and generate a long and persistent savoury finish.
A vibrant, ripe and fresh, modern, cool climate shiraz to enjoy in its youth or a sure bet to build complexity and interest in a cool cellar over the next 5 to 10 years. 

Winemaking Notes
Shiraz produces some of Australia’s most celebrated red wines in a variety of styles. The cool Pyrenees wine growing region in Western Victoria is perfectly suited to creating full flavoured yet elegant styles of Shiraz. The 2023 Blue Pyrenees Shiraz is assembled from several parcels of low-yielding, Estate grown fruit, creating a wine of great intensity and freshness. Just 12 months of maturation in tank and carefully selected French and American barrels has softened the tannins and preserved the concentrated dark fruit characters from our vineyards, resulting in a wine of great vibrancy, power and class.
