Winemaker's Notes
Drawn from block 31, perched on the upper hillside of Blue Pyrenees Estate. A 2.5-hectare plot planted in 1996 on a north-west facing slope at the vineyard's highest elevation. Here, the vines delve into fractured shale and mudstone, yielding fruit with quiet mineral tension, purity and the savoury depth that defines this site. Hand picked and whole-bunch pressed, the wine was fermented and matured for nine months sur lie in a mix of seasoned and 20% new French oak puncheons before blending. Bottled 8th May 2025. 200 Cases made.
